2. WAITING AND EXPECTING MOTHERS FELLOWSHIP

This fellowship has been encouraging with increase in attendance and God has been faithful to all the waiting mothers that have been attending. Two of them have been blessed with the fruits of the womb and given birth to healthy babies while several others are now pregnant.

This fellowship holds every second Wednesday of the month between 10:00am & 12 noon where the waiting mothers pray and worship God in one accord.

The nurses give health talk on the following to the mothers:

-http://vlbcinternational.org/tp.gifAntenatal care i.e. palpation and listening to the heartbeat of the foetus, checking of the mother’s blood pressure etc.

There have been diverse testimonies. A woman with secondary infertility for eight years received the touch of God during one of the meetings and she now has a baby boy. Also a SCAN test revealed that there was no foetus in the womb of a pregnant woman but the nurses advised her not to rely on SCAN report but on God. The tests was carried out three times with the same report, but to the glory of God this same woman gave birth to a baby boy in June 2003 without any complication. Our services are free. The main aim for this is to break the stronghold of barrenness in the lives of God’s people.

4. MARKET EVANGELISM

The major markets in the state also have their own daily doses of the gospel of victory in life. Every of the market has a prayer fellowship centers where marketers gather to pray early in the morning committing their businesses to the hands of Him that is able to hold it from falling.

There are fellowship centers in Osiele, Lafenwa, Itoku and Kuto markets.

5.HOSPITAL EVANGELISM

The fellowship visits several hospitals every Saturday to reach out to the Sick Spiritually and materially and God has been faithful.

To further facilitate all the above the women fellowship purchased a bus for evangelism to reach out better to more villages and reach more people with the gospel of victory in life.

However, the fellowships need more buses for effective coverage of all our mission fields.

OUR MISSION

Our vision includes establishment of Schools, especially primary schools for the villagers to enhance development and help reduce illiteracy. Establishment of maternity Centers to help the women fold.

The evangelism ministry is a broad one and the heart cry of the women fellowship is to bring people especially our women to realize their full potentials in the Lord through the gospel and provision of basic amenities to the under privileged in the society.
