VICTORY LIFE BIBLE CHURCH

Apostle Lawrence Achudume was a man that would have avoided going into full-time ministry if his will could prevail. Though he discovered divine call while in the university, his ambition was to become either the Head of State or an important force in politics or business – to be in power so as to change the nation – Stop oppression of every form and injustice; he wanted to change the system for the betterment of all.

However to obey is “better than Sacrifice” (I Sam. 15:22). God’s rules cannot be violated. Apostle Lawrence Achudume decided to say “Lord, your will be done” in April 1992 and his obedience gave birth to VICTORY LIFE BIBLE CHURCH (VLBC), a fast growing church in Abeokuta.

Itoku was prominent for idolatry; it was a stronghold for satanic powers. At the center of Itoku by the market is a tall building, which was an abode for demons and other Satanic powers. This building became a no-go area to residents of the town; and ironically it became God’s chosen place for the Commencement of Apostle Achudume’s ministry.

It was indeed warfare at such a strange venue but he was able to enter where no man dared. Apostle Lawrence Achudume opened the seal (Rev. 5:2) and other powers had no choice than to bow out (Phil. 2:10). On the 5th of April 1992, VICTORY LIFE BIBLE CHURCH (VLBC) was born and dedicated at No. 115b Adekunle Fajuyi Road, Itoku, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria and now has about sixteen branches, as an evidence of the triumph of the power of Jesus over Satan.

MOVING ON …

For the past twelve years, (VLBC family) have been preparing for an adventure into the world of Soul winning. Not that we have not been winning souls, but we are entering the main-stream which the last one year of our twelve years in the work has been preparing us for.

Like Jesus said, “Launch into the deep”, We as a church are set to reach the uttermost part of the world with the Gospel in tapes, books, publications and in personal soul winning drive of 100 souls per every branch of VLBC worldwide for the year 2004.

The past eleven years has been wonderful, VLBC is about to embark on its greatest projects ever.

“And behold, I send the promise of my father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem. (Luke 24:49)

Beloved, our Jerusalem must be established for from here we will go into the other parts of the world.

“… And ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem and uttermost part of the earth”. (Acts 1:8)

There is always a place for waiting, which is our Jerusalem.

The Victory City is it, a home from home, a place of freedom, victory and deliverance, and a place of joy.

We have to change Abeokuta, we have to change Ogun State and bring the Gospel to broken lives and families in our state, nation and the world.

In this year 2004, we must come into covenant partnership with God and His servant, thereby securing our future.

The Kingdom must be built … yes!

Souls must be won … O Yes!

We must put our hands on the plough and refuse to look back. It’s time to bring back the king to reign in His terrain.

The 15,000-seater auditorium and office/hostel accommodation is a project God has given us to do. Join us to accomplish these tasks together. This is the people’s church; we have laboured in this task together, let’s finish it. The Lord will provide.

“Then answered them, and said unto them, the God of heaven, he will prosper us, therefore we his servants will arise and build, … (Neh. 2:20)

Let’s join finances and materials together and build God’s kingdom.
